Individual Development Planning Made Simple
Like many companies, Arkansas Blue Cross has struggled with making Individual Development Plans (IDP) easy for employees to create and use, yet robust enough to be effective. Judy will briefly describe Arkansas Blue Cross’ journey from complex to simple. She will discuss what they have learned along the way, solicit ideas and solutions from other learning professionals who have experienced similar challenges and successes, and share a newly adopted one-page development planning form.

About the Speaker
Judy Lohmar has been with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 19 years, working in various training and employee development capacities throughout her tenure. She is currently the Manager of Learning & Development. Judy and the Learning & Development team provide training and employee development services to all areas of the company. These services include new employee on-boarding, leadership on-boarding, development and facilitation of instructor-led training (classroom and web-delivered), development of online training, individual development coaching, training consultation for company projects and initiatives, and administration and oversight of the corporate university.
